I was wondering if the new Apple iPad coming out would have the ability to run poker software on it

ie. Fulltilt or poker stars’ clients.

The truth is you can’t play online poker on an iPad right out of the box (same for iPhone, pretty much the same platform).

This is because you a) can’t install the poker room client (only allowed to install apps from the Apple App store) and b) you can’t play in-browser (since there is no flash or java on iPad)

But there is a fancy way of rigging it to make it possible, basically remote desktop.

And here’s the article that shows you exactly how to set it up on the iPhone (will work on iPad too)

Nope. You need Flash which the iPad doesn’t support.
